As part of the master developer’s strategy to activate the centre of Business Bay, Verdaus worked with U+A Architects to develop the concept for a new park on the Dubai Canal Waterfront. The brief required the park to link water and road-based transport, cater for nearby office workers, and provide recreational facilities for people living in the Business Bay area.
The park will offer residents recreational facilities including: café kiosks, an adventure play zone, a climbing tower, a skate park, a floating swimming pool, and a large lawn bowl facing a performance stage at the water’s edge.
The park is within walking distance to Bay Square, a recently completed development of 13 office buildings with a total of over 150,000 sqm of office floor space. The park will be an ideal place for breaks during lunch hour.
