Sitting between the Emirates Towers and Sheikh Rashid Tower, the Dubai World Trade Centre Precinct is a mixed-use development of medium density. Appealing features of its design include finely detailed streetscapes with natural stone materials and well-proportioned exterior spaces at human scale.
A linear park provides a green open space along an axis aligned with the heritage-listed Sheikh Rashid Tower. It has a deliberately simple design to leave open its use for a wide variety of activities ranging from ball games to large or formal outdoor events.
The outdoor cafe dining along the adjacent street also has much to gain from this green open space, as cafes spill out onto sidewalks overlooking it. To further enhance the cafe atmosphere, the design has greatly reduced traffic noise by moving the road with through traffic to the opposite side of the park.
